Our Values
Diaplant's values were not written first. They were practised first.
They live in the way a tree is chosen, in the patience to wait one more season, in the care taken to prepare a root ball, in the decision to propose a different specimen when that makes more sense, and in the hands of those who tend the field every day.
Only afterwards did they become words.
Producing differently
To produce an adult tree is to accept that the result is not settled at the end. It begins while the plant is still young, and continues with every transplant, every pruning, every choice, every refusal.
Quality, for us, is not a single word standing on its own. It is in the root ball formed over years. It is in the crown shaped without haste. It is in the plant observed after each stage of growth. It is also in the trees that do not go forward, because they do not meet what we expect of them.
Producing differently means exactly that: not treating the batch as though every tree were the same.
The nursery is the heart
Diaplant works today on three fronts: production, landscaping and design. But everything still begins in the nursery.
It is in the field that the tree takes form. It is there that its structure, its balance and its capacity to adapt are decided. The design can shape the place. The works can prepare for its arrival. But it is the nursery that gives meaning to all of it.
Without the field, Diaplant would be just another landscaping company. With the field, every project begins years before the works.
We would rather choose well
An adult tree is not chosen by species, height or photograph alone.
It is chosen for the balance it brings, the structure it has developed, the root ball that sustains it, and the way it will occupy the place set aside for it. That is why every proposal calls for judgement.
Sometimes the best decision is to wait. Other times, it is to choose a different specimen. What matters is that the tree leaving our fields is the right tree for that garden, that site, that moment.
From our field to your garden
Our promise lies in continuity.
An adult tree spends many years in the field before it reaches its final place. During that time it is planted, observed, pruned, staked, lifted, replanted and prepared by people who learn to recognise its rhythm.
At Diaplant, that knowledge does not live only in the processes. It lives in the hands of those who work among the trees every day. There are signs you learn to read with time: how a crown responds after pruning, the firmness of a root ball, the balance of a specimen, the right moment to act and the right moment to wait.
When a tree leaves the nursery, it carries that attention with it. It does not leave as an anonymous product. It leaves as a known specimen, chosen and prepared to go on living somewhere else.
That is what we mean when we say: from our field to your garden.
